Colleen Brennan, Deputy Director
Ms. Brennan joined the PCAOB in February 2007, after six years as Director of Communications for Promontory Financial Group, a
financial services compliance consultancy founded by Eugene Ludwig, former US Comptroller of the Currency. Previously, she served
at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as Special Assistant to the Chairman for Policy and Deputy to the Chief of Staff. Before
that, she worked at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as an Analyst in the OCC’s Economic and Policy Analysis division, and
later, Special Assistant to the Acting Comptroller. Prior to these regulatory positions, Ms. Brennan was a Washington, D.C., banking
reporter at National Journal’s CongressDaily, and the Bureau of National Affairs Banking Report. She earned an M.A. from Columbia School
of Journalism in 1990, and an A.B. from Cornell University in 1982.
