Joanne O’Rourke Hindman, Special Advisor to Board Member

Until recently, Ms. O’Rourke Hindman served as Special Advisor to Board Member Kayla J. Gillan, who recently completed her term and left the Board. Prior to joining the PCAOB, Ms. O’Rourke Hindman served as President and CEO of Roundtable Advisors, a consulting practice that she founded in early 2001 to advise audit committees of publicly traded companies on financial reporting governance. She previously served as executive vice president of operations for the American Red Cross, chief financial officer of Newsweek Magazine, director of financial reporting for The Washington Post Company and audit manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Ms. O’Rourke Hindman currently serves on the Board and as president of the Capital Area Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors. A certified public accountant, she has also written numerous expert commentaries and a case study on ethics in accounting for the AICPA and was coauthor of Audit Committee Responsibilities after Sarbanes-Oxley, an AICPA produced video course. A frequent speaker on ethics in financial reporting, audit committee effectiveness and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Ms. O’Rourke Hindman was recently recognized as one of Business Finance Magazine’s 50 Top Influencers for 2005.
